Serving Our Community

Jubilee Church is part of the community and we want to show support for people in and around our local area by supporting the following initiatives.

Bromley CAP Partnership

Bromley CAP Partnership is part of Christians Against Poverty, a national charity working with local Churches to tackle the causes of poverty. The Partnership is committed to working alongside and supporting individuals living in Bromley who have been trapped in debt or who are struggling to find work or who need help with managing their money effectively.
To find out more about the services offered, including Job Clubs, Life Skills Courses and Money Management courses, take a look at the website:

Hope Into Action Bromley

Jubilee Church has joined with a number of local churches to form Hope into Action Bromley, which is working with Hope into Action UK.  We aim to see individuals, who are trapped in relational poverty and homelessness, proactively supported by the local church through the provision of a home and a support network.

Through the generosity of individuals and churches across the borough, there are two properties that can be used to make a small but significant contribution towards alleviating the poverty that arises from being without a home.

Bromley Borough Foodbank

The Transform Bromley Borough Food Partnership is a strategic food partnership. It was set up in response to the COVID-19 crisis and the increased need for food provision in the London Borough of Bromley. We want to bless and serve people affected by food poverty in communities across the borough.
We have a food collection point in the foyer at Jubilee Church and you can find out what food donations are required each week through the Facebook page:  Facebook

Spinnaker

Spinnaker is a charity that creates opportunities for primary school children to engage with Christian faith and explore it’s beliefs and values. It operates in over 80 schools across London and the South East.  Jubilee Church provides some financial support to Spinnaker and is directly involved in its work through members of our church.  Find out more about Spinnaker here: About Us | Spinnaker Trust.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Jubilee Centre, 157 Southlands Road, Bromley (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:00am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving a few minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone from our Welcome Team who will be at the entrance.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet in the corridor outside the main hall.

Our Service

You can expect a warm welcome, meaningful worship, and an encouraging message as we explore the Bible together and discover what Jesus has to say to us today. We believe God is present and active, and we create space to listen, reflect, and be inspired.

Children and young people stay with their parent or carer at the start of the service for the welcome and a couple of songs, as we really value worshipping God together as a church family. When it’s time for the children’s and young people’s groups to begin, this will be announced. If you’re visiting for the first time and your child or young person would like to join a group, our children’s worker, Jess, will take a few basic details from you.

Our children’s groups are age-appropriate and activities vary, but typically include a mix of Bible stories, prayer, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play.

We aim to finish the service at around 11.15am with information and notices, after which the children and young people will return to join you. Refreshments are available straight after the service, and there is sometimes an opportunity to receive prayer at the end if you would like.

To find out more about what it means to be a Christian, go to our What is Christianity page.

If you have any questions or queries about the building or the service, please contact our Senior Leader, Derek Holl:  derek.holl@jubileechurch.co.uk

Children's Groups

The following groups are available:
  • Creche (0 months to 3 years). Children under 6 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/grown-up at all times.
  • Primary age group (3-11 years)
  • Young People (12+ years) who occasionally stay in the service
The groups provide a safe space for children to explore faith and connect with God.

We are keen to support families as they grow in faith together, helping children and young people to realise their value and the part they play in God’s Big Plan for the world!

If you have any queries about the groups, please contact: jess@jubileechurch.co.uk
