My life to date

Not only were the Rocky films born in 1976, but so was I. Looking at my baby photos I think I could have gone for a part in the film and earnt my parents’ money as an actor (even if it was as Stallone's face double for after the fight!). Instead I grew up in Bromley, just around the corner from what is now Jubilee. I went to Raglan and Darrick Wood schools before studying zoology (biology for people that don't like plants) at University of East London.  schools.

I then took a year out (actually it was 4 in the end) with Spinnaker Trust, a Christian charity that supports RE in primary.  After which I trained as a science teacher and have been teaching in a Lambeth secondary school for the last four years. Now I am moving on to become a driving instructor. Having just passed the second of three tests I hope to be ready to take on clients in September. Emma and I have just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We have two fantastic kids, Jackson and Isabel. I'd love to tell you more about them all, but my 60-80 words was up a long time ago, so you'll have to come and ask me!

We did...

How long in Jubilee Church? 8 years

Where were you before? The same place! I was part of Belmont Mission until it merged with Jubilee.

How long have you been in leadership? 2 years (I think) on Wider Team, 6 months on Core Team

One good thing about being a leader? Being a part of the church's future.

One problem with being a leader? Missing sleep on Monday nights!

What 4 words would Emma suggest best describe you? Visionary, Committed (to a mental hospital!?! - S), Honest, Blagger (only when it comes to animals, honest! - S).

Favourite Bible passage/book? Psalm 121

Favourite music/artist/band? Bon Jovi, and now Athlete

Favourite way of relaxing? Mountain Biking

How, or for what, would you most like to be remembered during your time in leadership? For wisdom and common sense (It's a hard task, but that's the aim)
